Helena was one of twenty international artists chosen to paint camels, horses and falcons in the years 2004, 2005, and 2006, respectively. The camels were painted to carry the logos of the key sponsors of DSF. They were put on display across the city during DSF and was auctioned at the end. The proceeds from the auction went to various charities and art associations in the UAE.

Ahmed AbdulKarim, Director of Public Parks and Horticulture Department at the Dubai Municipality and Head of the Entertainment Committee, Dubai Shopping Festival, said, “The Camel Caravan is a very unique and creative way to promote the Key Sponsors of DSF 2004. The camels have attractive art designs done by a number of international artists, and their placing around the city will be decided in association with the Dubai Municipality. It will show that Dubai is sensitive towards art and culture, a positive attribute to be seen by our visitors and residents.”.

The Dubai municipality also commissioned Helena to produce a piece of artwork 2.5 meters tall, and 10 meters long, for the “Dubai Summer Surprises” in 2003.
